Overview
We replaced outdated bin sheds with secure, purpose-built steel units, creating a safer, cleaner and more practical waste storage solution for residents. Works included demolition of the existing structures, extensive groundworks, new reinforced concrete bases and accessible pathways.
Challenges & Solutions
Maintaining residents’ access to waste facilities throughout the works was key. We needed to carefully manage temporary arrangements, site access and the phased removal of the existing sheds while keeping disruption to a minimum. We installed bespoke steel bin sheds designed around the requirements of the site, providing durable, secure and low-maintenance facilities. Groundworks and pathways were carefully planned to provide safe, accessible routes for residents and waste collection teams.
Outcome
The completed scheme provides modern, purpose-built bin storage that improves the appearance and day-to-day functionality of the estate, while offering a durable long-term solution for Havering Council.
